Field is available for lease for up to 10 years before renewal. There would be no charge to lease the field. Traditional uses of the field have been for hay. The lease spells out what we expect of the farmer.
Additional Information
The Society for the Protection of NH Forests owns this parcel and the field available for lease. We are a statewide privately owned land trust operating soley in NH. The lesee will be working with land managment staff to ensure the fields are being maintained properly.
Types of farming we are open to are hay, or rotational crop to promote better hay such as corn and alfalfa. The field will need a good deal of work to get back into production as it has been about 10 years since it was cultivated for hay and only periodically mowed back.
